We are not about cascading mountains of clutter or hoarding, even if it is a perfectly good scrap of material. We believe that if you can’t find it, you can’t use it. If it is sitting in an unlabeled box for twenty years, what use will that be to anyone?
We are just saying, look around, (Which reminds me, I have a couple of unlabeled boxes downstairs I need to go through. Thanks!) What do you already have? How could you transform what lies about you into something useful and dare I say, beautiful. Who knows, there could be a one of a kind treasure buried there in chicken poop! (Which was the sad case for the door hall tree that you now see featured!) Plus, it makes a fun story, telling about the 5 inches of compost you scrapped off of it for the garden!
Gallery Wall in the Farm House
I drew a barn onto paper and traced it onto left over thin strips of wood. I then painted these colors that I wanted incorporated into the Gallery Wall.
I then cut out the barn shape I desired.
Next I painted some trim left over and painted it white. After it dried, I cut it to frame the barn cutout. Next, I used the Cricut Machine to make a stencil.
Stencil “On the Farm” Arranged Galley layout onto the floor first so we could easily adjust. I am reusing old frames, some of the frames will be painted to better reflect the colors in the barn centerpiece.
Frame by frame, item by item hanging them in their place.
